Facciani completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1999. Background

Dr. Facciani feels privileged to work with children every day and enjoys the special challenges they face together. Performing an eye exam on a child, he says, “can be like cutting their hair and trying to feed them liver at the same time.”

It isn’t surprising that Dr. Facciani gets great reviews for making the exams easier for kids. He knows that reading their non-verbal behavior is just as important as listening to what they say. This allows him to tailor his exam approach to each individual child. Parents can be comfortable that he will examine their child in a friendly, engaging, and hopefully, effortless manner to make sure their eyes are healthy.

Dr. Facciani is married and has four children of his own. Three of them have Type I diabetes – an autoimmune disease that has no cure.

“This has given me a personal understanding of what it’s like to be both scared of illness and hopeful for your children’s futures.”

The awareness he has gained by living through these experiences with his wife and children uniquely position him to be both a knowledgeable and empathetic doctor.

In his spare time, Dr. Facciani attends his children’s activities, golfs, plays tennis, loves to read, and enjoys exercising. He is grateful for each day he is given to work or play.
